Established in November 2016 in Brooklyn, New York, the Unity Queen Steppers is a dynamic all-girl step team recognized nationally for their excellence. Grounded in the principles of scholarship, service, sisterhood, and performance, the team is dedicated to developing young women into strong leaders poised for success in their postsecondary pursuits. Their commitment to academic excellence is reflected in their remarkable achievements, maintaining a flawless record with 100% high school graduation and college acceptance rates. The Unity Queen Steppers not only shine in academics but also on the stage, offering their members opportunities to compete both locally and across the country. Their impressive travel history includes competitions in Atlanta, North Carolina, and Texas, showcasing their talents and building a strong sense of community and pride. The Queens will always and proudly, say it with their step.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower girls ages 11-18 through the transformative power of step, equipping them with confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self. We provide a supportive community where girls can express themselves freely, build lifelong friendships, and develop essential life skills. Through step, we prepare them to navigate the world on their own terms, fostering leadership, creativity, and a belief in their limitless potential in order to successfully transition into their chosen postsecondary pathway.

The vision of the Unity Queen Steppers is to support girls ages 11-18 in becoming confident, resilient leaders who fearlessly pursue their dreams and achieve postsecondary success.

Founder, Head Coach in Charge  

Alley Olivier 

Alley Olivier is the founder of Unity Queen Steppers Incorporated, which began in 2016 and has
since grown into an empowering organization for girls across NYC. With a passion for performance
– from theater to cheerleading and step – Alley believes in guiding young women to step into their
confident, empowered selves. Holding a dual bachelor's in Journalism and Sociology from Temple
University, a Master’s in Education from Relay Graduate School, and an MBA from Hofstra
University, Alley is deeply committed to mentorship and believes every young woman deserves
someone who helps amplify her voice.

Coach  

Gracie West  

Gracie West is the assistant coach of Unity Queen Steppers Incorporated, where she brings her
passion for performance, precision, and youth empowerment to every step. A proud NYU graduate
with a degree in Math Education and a minor in Dance, Gracie also holds a Master’s in Special
Education. With a lifelong background in competitive dance, band, and chorus, she is a firm believer
in the transformative power of the arts. She believes every child deserves access to the arts as a vital
part of their education and development.

Deinaycia Gordon

Proud alumna and dedicated member of the Unity Queen Steppers. Since joining the team as a freshman, she quickly stood out for her passion and creativity, rising to become Step Coordinator in her junior year and Captain in her senior year. Known for her dependability and leadership, Deinaycia continues to play a key role in developing many of the team’s new signature steps and strolls. Now serving as Junior Coach, she continues to inspire new members to find their confidence and voice through step. Deinaycia is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at St. Francis College.
